Land Rover are working on a mild facelift for the Freelander 2 for 2013 as it comes towards the end of its shelf life. It’s almost two years since Land Rover last facelifted the Freelander 2, a car that’s been with us since 2006, when they threw in some minor cosmetic tweaks, the first FWD Land Rover and gave us a more powerful diesel option. Somewhere prior to that Land Rover had quietly dropped the V6 petrol engine (in the UK, at least), so adding a more powerful version of the 2.2 litre diesel made sense as did providing a lower price entry point in the FWD Freelander.
Faurecia has launched its ‘Faurecia Pin-spiration' contest, with a brand new 64GB iPad up for grabs. Tier supplier Faurecia is using online sharing community Pinterest to host a new competition to create a pinboard named ‘Faurecia Pin-spiration' – categorized under ‘Cars and Motorcycles' – and filled with things that reflect the meaning of ‘premium’ that could also be used in automotive design. Ferrari F70 - the new Enzo - 2012 debut
Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo has confirmed the arrival of the new hybrid Enzo – the Ferrari F70 – before the end of 2012. Back in February we were able to report on what we can almost certainly expect from the new Ferrari Enzo (which will probably go back to the F40/F50 model designation as the F70), perhaps most importantly that it will have a hybrid powertrain and be revealed this year. That has now been confirmed by Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo as he reported on Ferrari’s sales performance.
